SDFCU is seeking a Loan Quality Auditor whose role it will be to conduct audits of the Credit Union to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records and efficiency of operations.

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of quality review experience or mortgage production experience in a financial institution
  • Experience auditing mortgage loans essential
  • NCCO certification a plus
  • Consumer lending, Episys, MeridianLink and FICS experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and interpretive skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend hours and overtime, with little advance notice
  • Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration within 30 days of employment

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct random and focused quality reviews of all consumer loan product types including installment loans, credit cards, home equities, mortgages, etc.
  • Conduct unbiased reviews to ensure compliance and consistency with all administrative procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate requests for Home Equity loan subordinations
  • Communicate audit results to management and escalate exceptions not corrected within defined timelines
  • Validate loan calculations, ensure proper documentation and track accuracy ratings
  • Identify trends, recommend process improvements and participate in meetings with compliance, lending, and management to communicate recommendations
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of required documentation for each loan product, laws and regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, truth in lending disclosures, good faith estimates, recorded deeds, etc.
  • Facilitate requests for Home Equity loan subordinations
